Tuscan vinyard holidays and Chianti vineyards
With over a hundred protected regions, Tuscany is the home of some of Italy’s most famous wine notably Chianti. Previously know for its squat straw bottles, Chianti 
has undergone somewhat of a renaissance to emerge as one the most sought after wines in the world.
Created primarily from sangiovese grapes, the production of this wine is governed by intense number of regulations that go well beyond the composition of the wine.
The recent implementation of these regulations is largely credited by vintners as one of the driving forces behind the resurgence of this high quality wine. o With the formation of the Consorzio per la difesa del vino tipico del Chianti in 1924, Chianti began to look like the wine available today. 
The group began regulating the production of what could be called Chianti and adopted the gallo nero (Black Rooster) as its symbol, which can still be seen on bottles today.
